Family-Scrapbook Layout

The last of my projects as guest designer for May for Louise at Thompson craft supplies using the 7th heaven paper range and mix of flowers that Louise has created to go with the papers.

just loved playing with these papers, so much to do with them, and still so much left to play with.
another of my "the wedding" photos (and still loads more to bore you with lol)

i started with an inky background, ink and water mix on my glass cutting mat and then place the card stock on top and rub gently to move it about a bit.

oh and a tip.......i was wondering why i was getting this weird circle appearing on my page!! it was from my thumb ring, as i was rubbing from the back it was showing on the front, so beware lol, i worked it out in the end!!

anyway i then did a bit of splattering matching some colours to the colours in the paper range.

i distressed some of the papers from the pack and layered them up,
then the fussy cutting bit, one of my fave things to do, and layering of my pieces around my photo, love that too!

finishing with some flowers and a title.

i normally lay it all on until i am happy, take a photo of where everything was and then remove and start it all again following my photo.

i love this paper range and love my layout.

You Colour My World-Scrapbook Layout

I love everything about this layout, i loved the creating of the photos, i have so many so scrap, may make a mini album with them there are so many fantastic photos!

the page was just two white 12x12 sheets, both coloured , one cut up to make the shapes.

the background i inked up putting some water on my glass cutting mat, dropping the ink into it and then laying the card stock on top, when it was dry i added some pasted through a stencil,
stamped with a couple of stampin up stamps and then splattered it

my layering was done by just cutting up the second sheet into random sizes and then bordering with a journal pen, i gradually built up the layers using 3d foam pads, adding the photo which i mounted on white card.
i thought about the ones overlapping my photo as i wanted to add my title.

with all the layering going on i really didn't want to add anything else.

now how do i deal with the other 101 photos lol
(and i'm not kidding on the number....well actually its 108)

Friendship in full bloom-notebook

Using the Botany summer  paper range from Fabrika Decoru.

so Game of Throwns has finished, i binged watched all the seasons until i caught up for the last episode, now that has finished, i always have to have something to watch,
my daughter in law had told me about The OA....so while watching that the other evening i crafted until the early hours not being able to stop watching.
and this was the result.

firstly i covered my book with some cardstock and then clear gesso'd it, added some colour with inks, then decided on some crackle paste.
i added an old piece of box lid cardboard stripped back.
some cheesecloth and lace, then some more colour!

i have a frame painted with shabby velour paints by fabrica decoru, i then layered up the frame with some fussy cut elements from the paper range.....and then more colour lol

i couldn't wait for the crackle to dry so i carried on working regardless, so it was a lovely surprise when i got up in the morning to see the lovely crackle.

you really cant go wrong, i had no idea what i was aiming for when i started but this was the result, loving it!!

Miss You -Mixed Media Tag

Guest DT spot today for Louise at Thompson craft supplies
playing with the Mintay 7th Heaven range,
love it, its so fresh and i really enjoyed making this tag.

with the mix of flowers that Louise put together to go with the papers, they go so well and make it very easy to create with.

I painted the tag with starlight paint and then stenciled leaves using a heavy body gel, left it to dry and then with all my fussy cut elements from the range i layered around and under the main frame.

i used a punch for my leaves and layered all my flowers, from the paper range and from the flower collection, leaves, and swirls made from the stems of the flowers.
added a little "miss you" title,
would make a lovely little remember me gift, maybe for someone that has moved away.
just love this fresh tag

Explore-Scrapbook Layout

Explore, using the Botany Summer papers by Fabrika Decoru, fabrika woodwork too, impasto paint, all from Louise at Thompson craft supplies
couple of random stencils, sorry cant remember the make, leaf die by Lady E.
just love this photo, Loki looking for bugs, when these papers arrived i knew they would be perfect for this layout.
Loki is very much an outside boy, but was fed up with mum trying to take photos until she said "there's a bug"
his fave thing looking for bugs!!

I used two of the impasto paint mixed with a heavy body paste through two different stencils for my back ground with some splattering of ink ( you cant really see that in these photos)

i then cut strips ranging from 1 to 2 inches wide from about 4 of the patterned papers, distressed the edges with my craft knife and layered them horizontally and vertically until i was happy with the layout.

i stuck my photo down (mounted on white) with 3d foam pads and sd gel, leaving space round so that i can tuck my other elements under the photo if i want to.
i then fussy cut some of the flowers and die cut some leaves, i layered them, some on top, some underneath, rearranging until i am happy, then stuck them down, some flat some raised and overlapping.

i then painted my explore in the impasto paint and cut out my "beautiful nature" also in this paper range.

oh and a finishing touch of the flower which is a pretty gets gritty flower that i have coloured  with a little ink and water to match the papers .

Dreamer- Scrapbook Layout

I like to find new ways to create a scrapbook layout,
nothing wrong with 12x12 ....... i love 12x12 but sometimes i like to mix it up a bit and do something a bit different.
this popped into my head and i just had to give it a go!!

I am very happy with the result,
you know how you have a vision in your head but in reality it just isn't going to work, or ends up totally different......
well this is exactly as i saw it in my head, and that makes me very happy, means i am not bonkers all of the time....well !!

the windmills you get at the seaside, always loved them!!

papers from Thompsons craft supplies,
Piatek Trzynastego....When We First Met paper range, its just gorgeous, one of my favorite ranges recently.

and just loved making this, from making the basic shape to some fussy cutting, it has some cheese cloth, ribbon, die cut leaves, an ink coloured flower.

i ummed and arrred about the splattering but i went with it in the end and glad i did, this paper just does so well with a bit of black splattering.

Love Heart

Guest design for Louise at Thompson craft supplies day today and i am showing my Love Heart using Mintay 7th heaven papers and flower collection from Thompsons craft supplies.
the heart was from The Works.
these papers are just gorgeous and with some lovely fussy cut pieces there is plenty to embellish several projects.

i painted the edge and the outside of my wooden heart with imagination crafts starlight paints.

i drew round my heart onto my patterned paper and then measured the size of the heart and trimmed that bit smaller so my paper would fit inside.
i layered up some of the other patterned papers, distressing the edges and added some of the fussy cut elements.

then i die cut some leaves, made some swirls using the stems of some of the flowers, arranged them with my flowers and leaves, i like things to touch and to overflow,
i'm definitely not a flat crafter lol

i loved this collection of flowers, they went great with the papers and were all different, colours, designs and sizes.

then the splattering, i covered the photo to do this,
