Mixed Media, Christmas Star

love my Christmas star,
all products from Thompsonscraftsupplies

using the Home for christmas papers from mintay
creative embellishments holly wreath
rustic paint ruby
cheesecloth

firstly i gesso'd the edges of my star, i cut out my backing paper making it slightly smaller than the star , i distressed the edges with scissors, then using a journaling pen and the rustic paint (ruby) also using the ruby i stenciled on the stars onto my backing paper.

i painted my wreath with the rustic paint , placed some cheesecloth in a circle on the star then mounted the wreath using 3d foam pads and gel paste as my glue.

i then did a lot of fussy cutting from the home for Christmas element sheet that comes withing the paper pack, this was all mounted to create height using 3d foam pads and gel paste, all overlapping, i then added my title which is from the Tim Holtz idiology chipboard Christmas quote chips.

i added some ribbon to add a bit more texture and as a hanger.
lastly i mixed some white paint with a little water and splattered.

i then did some fussy cutting from the element sheet, using the 3d foam pads and  gel medium i added my cut pieces adding height .

Posh Pooch Doggy Toddler Dress

Just loved this doggy fabric but wanted to make something other than a bag or purse, it went lovely with the bright red.
so  i had fun making this little girls dress, just need to find a little girl to wear it now.

added the little button flower and the ric rac ribbon on the hem, a lovely full skirted party dress.

just a simple dress pattern, i dont think you need a fussy pattern, let the fabrics add the detail.

Pumpkin Patch Scrapbook Layout.

Playing with clay and paint on this page,
i made the pumpkins, leaves and acorns then painted them.

on the base of the page which is from the grungy wall set by 13arts from louise at

i used a mixed media circle stencil and heavy body paste.
i mounted my photo onto some of the cork sheet from my recent kit, i then tore another sheet from the paper range a big bigger than my photo and mount, these are mounted using 3d foam gel and 3d gel glue to give them a bit of height off the page, i then arranged my pumpkins, acorns and leaves on the page, mixing in some paper leaves as well, all using the 3d gel medium.

i took my title from a Tim Holtz phrase book and mounted them onto card and arranged using 3d foam pads.

i covered my title and photo and then splattered using some watered down bronze paint.

Explore, Autumn Fun- Scrapbook Layout.

A lovely autumn page using some of my latest kit from Thompsons craft supplies, i also added from my stash but all of it is available from Louise.
Autumn fun

Using the 13arts grungy wall papers-Damaged for my back ground.
I toyed with adding to to it but the paper was so nice on its own it had everything it needed so i decided to leave it alone.

i added some of the cork, a bit to mount my photo on one corner and then a torn piece as my base.

i used another paper from the 13arts paper range this time from the Summer Rhapsody set- Rose rhapsody, i fussy cut some of the roses, they matched my back ground sheet perfectly.

i added some mdf leaves and my title from the creative expressions range also from Louise, all painted in Fabrica Decoru shabby velour paints in vintage green, i also inked the title a little with black.

i layered all my pieces around my photo using 3d foam pads and 3d gel and then added some paper flowers and some sequins here and there around my central design.

lastly i splattered using watered down prima metallique paint-steampunk copper, i covered my photo while i did my splattering.

Remember the now -Notebook

I am addicted to notebooks, i just love making them, this is a ready made notebook that i have decorated the cover.
using some of my latest kit from Thompsons craft supplies
using the 13arts Grungy walls papers and some other items from Louise's shop, the leaf stencil, the distress ink sprays and micro beads.

firstly i gesso'd my notebook cover, i then tore and layered mypapers to make a decoupage back ground which i then used a heavy body paste through my stencils, when this was dry i then gently brushed over with some watered down gesso .

i fussy cut another of the papers and layered these on using some 3d foam and 3d gel to make some height on my cover, i found an mdf fence and used a paint mix and some ink to colour it, again using the 3d gel to fix it on.
i went over it all with a clear gesso, this then allows me to add my ink and be able to move it around on the page before i dry it.
i dropped on my ink and used a water spray to mix and move it aorund and then dried with my heat gun.

i added  my title and when it was all dry i added some 3d gel and the micro beads, and lastly my flower.

EEK-Soon be Halloween

I've really had fun playing with my Halloween kit from Louise at Thompson craft supplies
The fun papers and all the ephemera made it very easy to create,
this time its a mini album, about 8" x 8"

all the papers and other ephemera are all from past kits, combined to make this kit, you can have one put together  just for you, just give Louise a budget and some ideas of your taste and she will do the rest.

made from scratch no base book, the base is some cardboard from a packing box from work, folded into shape.
scored and folded card make the inside spine where i have then fixed my pages, couple are fold out pages to add interest and extra scrapping space.

lots of fussy cutting and layering on the cover with patterned papers layered onto the black cardstock
which gives a great frame to each page.
added texture from the hessian, ribbons are art grit make it a very tactile cover.
oh and don't forget the splattering!!

inside each page has has been framed with the black and covered with patterned papers, with lots of pockets and fold outs, some added embellishments and its ready to add some photos
and maybe some more embellishments.

oh and can you see the bunting, card and fabric combine, love my Halloween bunting!!
