The Weekend.....

The Sun was out on saturday, which was lovely for the marriage of my brother Mark and his bride Di, here with my mum and dad.
the first time all the family (well almost all) have been together,
it was a lovely day and i had a tear or two lol
look at Di's gorgeous dress, she made it herself,
Well done Di you looked beautiful

Then when i got home, as if i hadnt had enough i made my little owl, a pattern i am working on, very happy with my first draft,as always a few changes i want to make,
but one happy crafter

sooo what can i call him???

Halloweeny !!

My head is buzzing with ideas at the minute,WOOHOO
more than one pattern going on at a time,
 what is happening to me?
i had better take advantage of it while it lasts lol i still need to remake my owl bag from my previous post and iron out the wrinkles as it were, but then another one popped into my head so that is also in the pipe line, actualy made my first run on it but left it at work so you will have to do with a pic of my bedtime scribbles as a bit of a preview but watch this space,
so tonight i have been typing up the pattern for my flower heart cushion, owl bag is still in scribble form and needs typing up, Halloweeny bag is still in scribble form too!

Starting School and Skegvegas!!

Well the time has arrived for jakey to go to big school ,he has always gone to nursery and loves it but its time to move on, and in his uniform he is no longer our baby,
look how happy he is at the end of his first day at school,
well done jakey

So we decided to take the littlies to skegvegas before the weather turns and as the weekend was forecast to be ok,this was the time to do it,
we didnt tell them just turned up to pick them up yesterday morning, packed a picnic and off we went.
those that know me know i just love the beach and getting me feet in the sand/sea, and after the year i have had this has been my first chance to do so, so i am very happy!
the kids loved it too, we bought buckets and spades and played on the sand for a couple of hours, ran in and out of the sea,
notice jake in the background paddling in the sea!
jake loved walking up and down collecting his shells,
minutes after this jake while paddling was knocked over by a huge wave (in jakes words) in reality it was upto his ankles lol but he was soaked but loved getting very wet,
luckily we had a warm towel and a change of clothes to sort him out when he had had enough.

It was all too much for mia at one point and she fell asleep mmmmmm not sure i would have been comfy like that but she slept in this position for about 2 hours so it must have been comfy lol
and we received lots of chuckles from people when they saw her

then you make a bag !!
just love these fabrics, got the cat version too so another bag on its way, need to change a couple of bits as the design evolves lol but loving the first finish of it.

Cards!

A couple of hour of crafting!!
trying to get my mojo back, since being back at work and being SOOOOO tired my crafting mojo took flight and was off,
so i am trying to get it back from wherever it had migrated too!!
not the best picture as always, taken in the dark again,
this working lark even gets in the way of taking a photo in daylight !!
it was scout hut crafters yesterday and although i didn't actual do anything i did get the urge for making a quilt,
Jill was making a gorgeous purple and green one and after discovering a new found love of green, it was really calling to me, so Sunday i am off fabric shopping, i was going to be buying Christmas fabric but spent far too much on that on Saturday when i found just what i needed, so Sunday will be quilt fabric me thinks,
mmmmm what design shall i do!?!?
