I just love playing with acrylic bases and these ones are great from .Thompsons craft supplies, really sturdy and great to use.
i also used, some alcohol inks, rubber stamp and white acrylic paint, leaf stamp and die cutter, distress inks, cheese cloth, wooden butterfly and a pretty gets gritty flower.
i started by taking off the protective cover one one side and dropping some ...oh what is it called the liquid with the distress....blender !! all over the block, covering it, then i dropped different colours of the ink on and moved it around a bit with my fingers and by tilting it.
when happy i gave it a minute to dry....it doesn't take long at all.
i then took the cover from the other side and turned it over and then using some watered down acrylic paint and a stamp, stamped the white images on the other side. a quick blast with the heat gun!!
i sprayed my flower and butterfly with distress ink and hand stamped my leaves and cut them out then coloured them with distress ink.
i added a little cheese cloth, chose my title and placed it all on, when happy i stuck it all down with 3dgel..
lastly a little splattering to finish it off, a fun a quick little project but very beautiful i think.
