Recent cards......

 OK so i wont bore you will a million and one cards i have been making, bit of a exaggeration there but you get what i mean so here are just a few, firstly a butterfly card i did a few weeks ago, love the colours, it looks so much better INL

New sewing pattern design

so i am back with all the pics i have been meaning to take of recent finishes, i will spread them over a few posts, break them up into cards, scrapping and fabric lol,

firstly the wallhanging which will probably be a workshop at the October scout hut weekend, pattern available for sale if anyone would like it just get in touch

 

and the matching note book cover that i made from the leftovers, well there are enough left overs to make several note book covers lol, may  also be done as a workshop

I am here, realy i am!!

Where does the time go, i have been back at work a month now and am back into the full swing of things and the full hours....i am exhausted!!

i have been busy with other things too besides work, 

i have been sewing, i have been card making, and i have been scrapping, i just need to get my A**e into gear and get my camera out and take some pics, and for the sun to come out and make me feel a whole lot better , its a bank holiday weekend and on saturday i spent the day in bed feeling realy poo, now i am just so full of cold my nose hurts with blowing it so much...oh woe is me!!

so watch this space and i will be back soon with something more interesting than my waffle.

Scrapbooking......

 this is the page we did at the workshop recently, my first 12x12 of Mia and she is 8 months old, how bad is that? the original clas was done in much more pastel colours but i'm not realy a pastel person so we chose some stronger coloured papers ad they sorted the rest to match for us, very happy with the result.

and here is the mini book i started when Mia was born, finished at last!

i have a million and one pics of Jake and mia so hopefuly i shall get a few more bits done now my mojo has returned.

Its back!!!

my paper craft mojo that is!

i used to do a lot of paper craft, with cards many many moons ago and then scrap booking, but in recent years it has all gone on the back burner for my fabric, i used to be able to alternate it quite well, but not recently and i missed it greatly but with me being off work these passed few weeks it suddenly made a return WOOHOO and after starting a mini book when Mia was born last august and me only getting 2 pages in, i have at last finished the mini book and made a ton of cards, (here are a few of them, don't want to bore you with pics of the many lol) 

i also went off to do a scrapbook workshop with my daughter and my mum, we had a lovely evening and came back with a gorgeous page on Mia, (pics to follow tomorrow)we are going to make it a regular event and have booked in for the next one, Jake is the subject next time.

 on my mojo returning and my search for all my STASH, what happens to it all? where are all my punches, a box full, no clue to their whereabouts and lots of other stash items too......no where to be seen.....oh well stash shopping it is then......i am so pleased that my mojo has returned after a few years ab-sense.....

now lets see if i can balance it with my fabric, 

i really don't want to go back to work on Thursday, 

I WANT TO BE A LADY OF LEASURE!!!

Show and tell...

It was the crafty weekend Woohoo, we had a fab time as we always do, lots of laughter not so much work, we had our friendship exchange and this is what i made for Ann......,

 i received a gorgeous little broach from maddy and a stitched hanger i will take pics of that for a future post, just wanted to post something quick lol

 

we had lots of yummy food and went out to eat on saturday night which was lovely , we laughed a lot and we cried too!

i have lots more pics to show and lots more to take of completed projects so watch this space

a finish and a new design.....

Sewing pattern that is....i have been playing this week and have been working on a new sewing pattern...watch this space, i just need to tweak it  bit before i can show you, i am loving it though and even my daughter said how much she liked it...must be ok then lol

I then went on to have a play with a few scrappy bits of fabric and made this book cover for my note book

 

ok back to it, my head is full of ideas at the minute, need to get them down on paper lol

 

A finish and an exchange received......

I started LHN "Curly Q Ewe"on tuesday when Wendy and Rachael came to visit, i finished the stitching the next day but had to wait for some fabric and a cushion inner to "finish" her off and i am very pleased with the result, she has been waiting to be stitched for some time, i am loving the colours i chose, (different to the original design, i never have the right threads !!)

i also received an exchange piece from Lynn W this week from the Lizzie kate exchange blog, thank you lynn i am very happy, love it, it is now living on my stitchy shelf at the top of the stairs!

i now need to work on an exchange piece for my partner at the Scout hut Crafters group weekend crop in a couple of weeks, the theme is friendship, mmmmm i cant quite decide what to do though, got a couple of bits in mind, we shall see......

Ouch !!!

so after suffering my "pain" for several years (well ignoring it really!) and then after going to the docs and going on the list for surgery sand then waiting....... and waiting i at last had my gall bladder complete with stones removed on Wednesday evening , to say i had a few butterflies would be VERY true,i woke up to much pain but this is easing now and as long as i sit still is not too bad at all, although i am walking with a stoup, holding my stomach, not that this makes any difference lol

 but i am out the other side and now on my enforced 6 weeks of rest(they made me promise) so here comes daytime tv  and stitching!  

i started on a LHN design yesterday, think i may be finished it later today,

Scout hut....

It was another scout hut get together yesterday, we had a fab day as always, i did get to finish something too but i cant show it yet, 

we had a group photo taken too, would be great to get everyone together in one place just the once for a group pic but for now we have to be happy with this bunch......

we are together again on 24/25th march for the weekend get together, if you would like to come along just yell, all are welcome, you dont have to do both days just one if you can make it, old dalby, melton mowbray, very close to the A46 between leicester and newark.

I just couldnt resist.....

Buying some more of these books, the projects are just gorgeous, all i need now is some time to actualy make something, problem is "wood n stitches" is keeping me busy as ever, i would realy appreciate if you could pop along maybe make a comment and pass it on to a friend or two to help me pass the word....if you would be so kind x
right better get something done........

Seen as i was stuck at home cause of the snow on sunday when i was meant to be at the nec trade show i decided not to waste my enforced stay at home, so i made my good witch, i am very happy with the result and she will soon be going off to a new home as soon as i make another to replace her, cause i NEED one for myself lol

she has linen pantaloons and shirt and a very soft cord tunic dress, she is very snuggly!

Snow......

 ok so i love it, and i have had my fun, now you can go and let spring commence lol, 

jakey loved playing out in the snow today, there are snow angels all over the village from him and we had to have lots of cuddles when we got back to warm him up after, but it was great fun, the sun was so bright though it was difficult to get photos with all the snow blindness going on

Right now then, spring, come on i'm waiting!!!!

Lovely jubely books!!

I just had to do it, i couldn't resist these books and their gorgeous projects, i couldn't resist so much i went back and ordered some more, cant wait for the posty to come this week ,

 they suggest using towelling and linen for some of the projects so on Saturday one of the nearby villages was having a jumble sale, off i went, boy do you have to be quick in those places and have Sharpe elbows or you get eaten alive but i can say i did find some new towels just the perfect colours too and some linen trousers which will soom be a stuffed  animal of some sort lol

all i need now is some animal stuffing and i am away... watch this space.
