Really must keep up with this blogging lark lol........... 

2 exchanges to show you, firstly the one i sent out in the Rotating designer exchange to Cathi, the designer to be stitched was Prairie Schooler so being a Halloween lover this is what i came up with...... i am very happy with it and hopefully Cathi is too.

 the second one is what i received from Cynthia in the threads of life Christmas exchange,its just gorgeous, i love it, the picture just doesn't do it justice, i just cant get a good pic of it!

The littlies.......

Just a few pics of the little people in our lives, i am very busy at the minute and have been feeling like i am missing out on the littlies although trying to fit them in at every opportunity, cant wait to have a sunday off to spend the day with them, here is Jakey on sunday at the foxton locks show having  ride on the mini double decker bus, just look at that hat lol

and here is Mia at 6 weeks old, where has the time gone, 6 weeks already, she is doing fine and gaining weight rapidly, she had her 6 week check up this morning and from a birth weight of 10lb 12oz she is now 12lb 12oz, the doc said he was going to ask how she was feeding but no need to after seeing that weight lol

Exchange item recieved

I received this gorgeous little ornie over the weekend from Gabi in Germany, it i part of the rotating designer exchange, and i love it lol. now need to get mine finished and on its way, 

stitched it just need to "finish" it!

1st September!

Its the 1st September already oh my where has the summer gone,  where has it been? because it hasn't been here! i have been waiting for it, but it didn't come! its the coolest summer since 1993!

i am not looking forward to winter, i have bad memories of last winter, i was ill for most of it and i really don't want to go there again....think positive lol i will be fine!

so onto other things, 

we are in a busy month without a day off until October, we have the usual markets, craft fairs, scout hut crops and nec trade shows to keep us busy

but i am determined to get a little stitching in to keep me sane and give me an hour here and there to relax

a sneaky peak of what i am working on at the mo......

ok, so i have things.......

I am desperate to do some scrap booking but it really isn't there, i have subscribed to a kit a month and have now received 4, i have been shopping a couple of time for supplies, i have a new grand baby to scrap, as well as jakey, but its still not coming....

so this morning i have been shopping again and had a good look at the samples around the shop and was chatting to the ladies lots and i think it may be stirring in the background, ever so slightly, come on scrapping bug, come back to me!!!
here's my stash from this mornings shopping trip,and i am off soon to spend the afternoon with Mia, the first time i will have seen her properly since she was born, so i have new batteries in my camera for the occasion.

Mia's quilt finished....

It was only waiting for its binding so yesterday afternoon i finished off Mias quilt just in time for her coming home, i am very happy with it as was her mummy and daddy, and realy pleased with my shaped edge.

sorry about pic quality, it wouldnt stop raining so i was under the tree lolit has my usual free hand machine quilting, that normally makes it in there somewhere, i do enjoy doing that!

Jake and Mia....

Amee and Mia were allowed home from the hospital yesterday so after nursery we took jake to meet his new baby sister, he was fab and took it in his stride, here they are jake was so cool about it all loland Mia just couldnt stay awake!!

May i introduce to you......

born 5.03pm tuesday 10th august
by C section after a (well i have lost count how long )very long labour!
but Mia is being a very good girl for her poorly mummy

and jakey is being a very good boy for his nanna, well he is a big brother now.

Whoops i did it again!!

couldnt resist the many fabulous fabrics i saw today and if it wasnt for DH texting me on how long i was taking i would have been much longer and spent much much more money,
so a good thing realy,
but i did buy lots.....
halloween fabrics for some projects i have in mindfabric for a custom quilt i need to make , fabric for two custom cushions i have on order, plus lots more, and i just realised i have missed some of it off the pics

so lots to keep me busy....
maybe it was a good job he dragged me out of the shop!

Busy Sunday.....

We had a great day yesterday, firstly Alex and i went off to one of the local car boot sales and came away with some great bargain, a few items of clothing and two great bargains for my soon to be Victorian themed bed room!

let me tell you how it came about.....
we took our jakey off to the seaside last Sunday and while there visited a very crammed antique shop and bought a new bed frame, it is a black and gold metal bed frame in a Victorian style, my bedroom is in great need of a decorate and as i love anything Victorian i decided that this is the way to go with the bedroom, starting with the bed, i am going to make throws, bolsters and cushions, the walls are going to be just a plane colour and i am going to bring in the colour with the fabrics, while at the carboot i found a brand new pair of curtains, fully lined and just the perfect colourways, in deep red, browns and gold,£4
i then found a piece of fabric about 2m again perfect for the victorian theme,
deep reds, brown and green, perfect for some cushions and maybe to cover a foot stool and blanket box i have!£3
we then went off to pick the bed frame up and have a better look around the antique shop
(we couldnt with jake and his little fingers last week)
and this is what i came away with.....
i am now on the lookout for a victorian wash stand or dressing table, a fireplace, and lots of little bits a pieces, an oil lamp, more fabrics etc etc, this is so going to be fun lol

Stitching mojo.....

Has returned with a passion lol, and i am in halloween mode for some reason, just finished stitching on this LK piece, but cant decide how to "finish" it off,
any suggestions?
now to decide what to stitch next, another halloween or something else mmmmmmm let me think!

i dont know Melanie but if your looking thankyou so much i adore it!then i can show you my little creation for Maddy in the exchange heaven christmas in july exchange, realy enjoyed stitching this and making it up, hope you like it Maddy!
so now i have my stitching bug back i am off to stitch for 10 minutes before work, i am in the mood for halloween!!

I can now show you this as it has been received by Michelle, this is what i made for her, glad she likes it, hard to part with cause i like it too lol
still waiting for mine to arrive, cant wait! i will take a pic as soon as it arrives.

Back on line....

(thought i did this post yesterday!)

anyway after being off line since last Thursday,phone line bought down by a crane apparently! i am now back on, feel lost without my pc, but its all working fine again now
i have at last taken part in a couple of exchanges recently, firstly a christmas in july on exchange heaven, which i received this gorgeous little fellow from Maddy, isnt he cute, i cant show you what i have made until i hear it has arrived safely,
i have also taken part in an exchange on Michelles blog its a Black Bird Designs exchange, i am also waiting for mine to arrive in its new home then i will show you, and waiting very excited for mine to arrive...oh oh cant wait!!
the quilts for Mia are happening oh so slowly, just dont know where the time goes,
4 weeks and counting until baby Mia arrives, getting excited now, and we are all thinking she will be arriving early so realy must get my finger out and get them finished,
will be back as soon as i have some thing more to show you.

Carboot find!

As you know i love to wonder round Carboot sales of a sunday when not busy and this week i found two lovely bargains, the first was an ikea cot, which looks brand new, not a mark on it, worth over £100 so Amee informs me, £5 BARGAIN , so chuffed with that and then i also found this cake stand, love it and only £1.50 so i just had to......

i also want to show you the working on my Hexagon quilt for Mia, its growing slowly but surely, i am realy liking it too,
I dont normaly like having more than one project on the go but at the moment i have 4! my own hehagon quilt which is also growing steadily, not going to show you a pic cause it looks the same as last time just the piles of flowers are bigger lol, not ready to put it together yet still working on the flowers then i have some diamonds to work on for infills cant wait to get the the actual final construction but i must be patient lol
i am working on a second quilt for Mia, (one for my house one for Amees house), it is a squared quilt which will have freehand quilting...possibly , not quite decided yet lol
the last project is a crochet blanket which is going to be a mishmash of different!! cant realy say what cause i am changing it as i go along so we will see how it ends up lol
so busy busy as always ,
these are among all the wood-n-stitches projects i am working on too, aprons, quilts and bags are in the mix at the minute!!
