what i have been doing...

well apart from my sewing machine working overtime as usual, poor thing just keeps going for me lol, not that i have done much sewing this week, well not as much as usual, i have been busy with other things, vouchers to go in goodie bags for a health and beauty fair we are doing on sunday in nottingham, i have also been working on an order of personalised aprons for the staff of a local cafe, then sorting through all the boxes that keep arriving at the house, a ton of body shop goodies, and this lot, well the ragdolls have been here a week or so, but the jigs arrived yesterday....

well best go get ready for the day job lol

what to say.......

Seen as i can talk for england why am i sat here fingers at the ready thinking, what can i say??
something i dont normaly have trouble with lol but today!!!
so what can i tell you, realy busy with wood n stitches, its going fantastic and is keeping me realy busy which is great but very tiring, realised i haven't had a day off in many many weeks, no wonder i am tired, and i realise also that i am missing jakey time,
he is always over one night at the weekend but is asleep for most of that, so i get to play for a couple of hours then its to bed than in the morning i get an hour or so and i'm off to market or a craft fair, another two weekends working then i think on the third i might have a sunday off lol cant wait for jakey day, it is lovely though that i do get to see him, lots of nipping in and out and a couple of phone calls a day, he takes the phone to his mum and says "nanna", and gets quite upset until mummy rings me ,how sweet is that, we have some lovely little chats, he tells me about rory(whoever that is) and igglgiggle, as he calls him lol a lot of it i have no idea what he is saying lol but i just love our chats
here is our cheeky little monkey, realy do need to have some time with him and the camera, he is growing so fast!
he will be 2 a couple of days before christmas, where does the time go??
there you go i am all dried up now i have waffled for a minute or two!

Exchange finish...

i just want to show you what i made for jane in the recent exchange for "exchange heaven", the theme was thread bobbin, which is just a decorative item to go with your current project to help keep all your threads together

Fantastic Weekend

well that was an adventure lol, Jo and i had a great weekend camping in a park in the middle of nottingham surrounded by a fair and thousands of screaming kids lol
imagine the picture ...a huge slide on one side ,a football penalty game on the other, jo and i in a little tent in the middle in bed with thousands of screaming kids having fun all around and if you cant get out to go home what do you do? you just take the barriers down lol
yes we were at the Riverside festival in nottingham, it was great fun but very tiring with trading up until 11pm friday and saturday and then 6pm sunday, forgot to take pictures of the campsite but i do have one of the stall before trading on sunday


we met lovely people again, Toniann who was on the toy stall next to us and very helpful.
i am now busy loading lots of goodies to the website, got so much to do and so many new things in the production stage....so had better get back to it.

What a week!!

well no pics this time, i have an awful week and not got anything done that i should have, my car broke down a few weeks ago and has been playing up ever since, think you have fixed it ....then nope its off again, well last week we decided enough was enough, it was an oldie and didnt owe us anything so time for a new car,
found what we wanted but that fell through with some work that needed doing to it, so found another...this week it has just been s o o o s l o w in getting it sorted and so frustrating, have had to make a trip to the dealers every day after work which is the other side of nottingham in rush hour traffic on a motorbike...not funny!
told him i realy realy needed it by last night but nope we are picking it up this morning, back to other side of nottingham through early morning rush hour traffic on the bike....of what fun...not
then it is quick run round asda then home and pack the car cause Wood-n-stitches if off to THE RIVERSIDE festival in nottingham at lunchtime
talk about by the skin of your teeth lol

so i had all these plans for things to get done this week and none of it has happened, and i just have one big headache lol
but realy looking forward to the weekend, hoping the weather is ok as we are camping there !!!

i will take lots of pics hopefuly
have a great weekend all.

A bit of everything......

Firslty congrats to my son Niall for passing his motorbike test yesterday, well done Niall, he is now off looking for a new bike to buy lol

well i have been busy with a bit of this and a bit of that lol but it all adds up to keeping me very busy
firstly well maybe not firstly but somewhere along the line i have been working on a little christmas design for the forum "a crafty natter" we are designing some christmas ornies to share, i have finished designing and stitching i just need to "finish" it and then chart it, i am loving it, hope the others like it too!

then my wood and stitches work, been making some cushion, a sail boat on the waves

then i am making some pram/mosses basket quilt sets for the babies

then back to cushions and this time with matching bunting, there will be a union jack design to match coming very soon.

i have also been filling orders, two gorgeous (if i say so myself) single bed quilts for twin girls who had their birthday the other day, grandma was very pleased with the finished articles and now wants one for herself lol
there have been banners and cushions and more bunting for orders too, cant wait for the halloween fabrics to get here got so many things to do with those lol

other news we have now also taken on the Body Shop and have taken a regular slot on the market, on the days when we are not at shows, so actualy not a lot of time off but i am realy enjoying the ride and can't wait to see where it takes us !

so as i mentioned the body shop, if anyone fancies having a pamper evening with your friends just let me know

Our holiday.....

we managed to get a few days away and took the gang to Dorset, Swanage to be precise!, the weather was not the best, very wild but as it turned out home just rained all week, we were lucky, we had very wild nights, although i loved it, the wind was so strong and we were in a caravan surrounded by trees but i loved listening to the wind and rain, each day by mid morning the rain stopped and it dried up and we managed to get in beach time.......
a fimly tradition is the penny arcades, or the 2penny as we always play in, jske is starting young and loved the machines lol

and then onto the beach, he just loved it and managed to eat some of it too along with his icecream...and he managed to bring some back with him, in his pushchair and his clothes lol


and then there was pepper pig(or mum as amee says she is) but jake calls her pepper and niall won her from one of the machines and jake has clung on ever since

i have lost of photos and will share them later but for now its back to work........

quiet weekend....

just wanted to show you this pic of jake taken in the garden the other day, deep in thought, what can i get upto now?
looks like butter wouldnt melt but boy is he into everything, can't believe how fast he is growing and he repeats everything you say now, its lovely to hear hime trying to say words and the names he calls people, Cara will always be known as Rara now lol


had a busy weekend too, i made this bag for Daisy (Nialls girlfriend) she wanted a beach bag to take with us when we go away next week so i made this one yesterday, i have heard a few "i want one" since then lol,
then i have made the fronts on two patchwork single quilts i have an order for, just need to layer, back and quilt them now but its monday and back to work so that will have to wait until this evening to get started on that task.


well back to it..........

Name Needed-Competition

Ok so you know how bad i am at naming things so i am asking for your help, can you think of a name for this design of a scissor keep, all the names i like will go in a hat and the one i pull out will win a copy of the chart,

I am still here folks...

just realy busy sewing seat covers , i help someone out a couple of times a year and this is it, i have been sewing them for about two weeks an hour before work and a couple of hours after work, shattered but another week and it shall be done lol, i have managed to take a few hours in between times to finish a lap quilt and make a single bed quilt, i will take some pics when i get my house back, looks like a factory at the minute lol

but on another note we have booked our holiday at last, going in a month so needed to get on with it, 4 nights in swanage with nearly all the kids, it will be lovely, lewis will be missing but maybe next time we will get them all! just hope for good weather, fingers crossed

anyway off to the day job.............

A girl is surposed to work with a kitten that just won't leave me alone lol, she has nearly been stithed in a few times, its just play time ALL the time for Lola, although she has worn herself out and is now fast asleep right in the middle of it all lol

you should see when i am hand stitching, she goes crazy for my threads and if she can't get them its my scissors, she loves the scissor keep dangling lol

oh well better get back to it while she is asleep, off out to a craft fair tomorrow so busy busy

Exchange received....

We had our monthly get together at the scout hut yesterday,
we stayed lovely and cool in the hut and sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine for lunch, it was a great day, we had a cushion workshop, (see wood-n-stitches blog for pics of that)
and i received my spring exchange from Ann, which i did'nt get last time as Ann could'nt make it, it was worth the wait, look at this gorgeous note book cover Ann made for me and the other lovely bits that came with it, its all just gorgeous thankyou Ann, i love it all.

She has to get in every where!!

i have been busy this past couple of days, well i have been busy this past couple of months actualy, no hold on i am always busy lol....mmmmm anyway i have just finished this quilt and i am loving it, the colours, the finish , everything, what do you think?


and of course i have a little someone getting in the way, no sorry trying to help! she is always in the way, we had to send her upstairs to Cara last night when i was trying to sew the binding on, she just would'nt let me do it, kept trying to chew my thread, its a wonder she did'nt get stabbed with the needle lol, she wasn't happy about being shut out but was soon back terrorising me lol, she even came up and woke me up by attacking me while i was in bed asleep last night and purring very loudly lol i had to hide under the duvet but she kept getting in lol
