Name Needed-Competition

Ok so you know how bad i am at naming things so i am asking for your help, can you think of a name for this design of a scissor keep, all the names i like will go in a hat and the one i pull out will win a copy of the chart,
it is a free standing scissor keep and the chart included instrutions on how to put it all together.

A New design for you-STITCHERS FRIEND-this is as its title suggests, open her up to find a pin cushion and needle case, you can buy as a finished item or buy the chart and make yourself, it comes with chart and full instructions to put it all together

I am still here folks...

just realy busy sewing seat covers , i help someone out a couple of times a year and this is it, i have been sewing them for about two weeks an hour before work and a couple of hours after work, shattered but another week and it shall be done lol, i have managed to take a few hours in between times to finish a lap quilt and make a single bed quilt, i will take some pics when i get my house back, looks like a factory at the minute lol

but on another note we have booked our holiday at last, going in a month so needed to get on with it, 4 nights in swanage with nearly all the kids, it will be lovely, lewis will be missing but maybe next time we will get them all! just hope for good weather, fingers crossed

anyway off to the day job.............

A girl is surposed to work with a kitten that just won't leave me alone lol, she has nearly been stithed in a few times, its just play time ALL the time for Lola, although she has worn herself out and is now fast asleep right in the middle of it all lol

you should see when i am hand stitching, she goes crazy for my threads and if she can't get them its my scissors, she loves the scissor keep dangling lol

oh well better get back to it while she is asleep, off out to a craft fair tomorrow so busy busy

Exchange received....

We had our monthly get together at the scout hut yesterday,
we stayed lovely and cool in the hut and sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine for lunch, it was a great day, we had a cushion workshop, (see wood-n-stitches blog for pics of that)
and i received my spring exchange from Ann, which i did'nt get last time as Ann could'nt make it, it was worth the wait, look at this gorgeous note book cover Ann made for me and the other lovely bits that came with it, its all just gorgeous thankyou Ann, i love it all.

She has to get in every where!!

i have been busy this past couple of days, well i have been busy this past couple of months actualy, no hold on i am always busy lol....mmmmm anyway i have just finished this quilt and i am loving it, the colours, the finish , everything, what do you think?


and of course i have a little someone getting in the way, no sorry trying to help! she is always in the way, we had to send her upstairs to Cara last night when i was trying to sew the binding on, she just would'nt let me do it, kept trying to chew my thread, its a wonder she did'nt get stabbed with the needle lol, she wasn't happy about being shut out but was soon back terrorising me lol, she even came up and woke me up by attacking me while i was in bed asleep last night and purring very loudly lol i had to hide under the duvet but she kept getting in lol

Apple tree

Look at this little thing, just full of blossom and its only 4ft tall, there's not many things i am taller than but i am taller than my apple tree lol, and



this little tree out the front, i have plum trees, apple, pears,cherry, cookers....we shall she what fruits we get this year but they are looking very happy at the minute

Fantastic time...

Was had by all at Stratford upon Avon, its just great spending time with great friends, thanks Jak and Deb for a great time and to spend it with you guys, thanks to Karen for being a perfect roomy
and great to see everyone else again, Mary was as usual keeping us entertained,

here we counting down to next time can't wait.

well back to the real world, i went fabric shopping this morning and have some ideas in my head for new goodies for wood and stitches, so back to it.

Off on my jollies.....

i'm all packed and ready to go, just need to get people out of bed,
i am off to spend a few days with the girlies in Stratford upon Avon, a lot of laughter ahead i know!

well we have had a fantastic weekend despite the weather, the sun was out for most of it, saturday was a gorgeous day with sunshine and no wind, sunday was a bit windy and BBrrrrr, monday we had a bit of everything!

Let me introduce......

Lola, isn't she gorgeous, 8 weeks old and so cuddly, all she wants to do is cuddle and play but then she has just been taken from mummy and 4 brothers and sisters ,she is a bit confused as to what she is, she spent all last evening on my shoulder like a parrot!! Baldrick is wondering what all the fuss is about and why does this tiny little thing make such funny noises whenever he goes near lol she is not his best friend yet but i am sure she will be getting used to him soon!

and then there came Deedee, named so because all
Jake can say for Baldrick is deedee and all dogs are named the same lol
this is Amee's new addition to the family, 12 weeks old and so calm and lovely, i'm sure she will make her mark soon enough when she feels at home

SSssshhhhh

A lazy sunday afternoon,
well we had a lovely morning wondering round the carboots in the sunshine and fresh air, havn't managed it in quite a few weeks so i was up and ready to go first thing and glad we did, found myself a good few bargains and then off to wilko's to buy all i need for the new member of our family that arrives on friday evening, LOLA our new furbaby,
i lost my baby Mizzy nearly two years ago(boy where does the time go)i call her my baby but she was 15 and i miss her greatly! anyway i have never been without a cat and was beginning to miss having one around but Niall and Lewis were looking for a kitty cat each and we went to see some, i knew full well as soon as i saw them i would want one and withing 5 minutes had chosen her! they were only a week old so we have had to wait but friday is the day.

so we got home and after our lovely morning i decided to take myself off upstairs to read for an hour, i can't read with the telly on downstairs!........ have you ever done the i'm reading.......two hours later i open my eye's and i havn't even turned the page i started on lol yes i fell asleep, i'm putting it down to my busy week, because between the start of the crafty weekend and yesterday i have produced this little lot so i am going to forgive myself my little nap lol


well off to do something constructive...like sit and watch the telly with a cold drink lol
no sewing for me today i'm having a day off!

My Best Friend!

and when you catch him in the act this is the face you get, everything is met with an Ooooo from jake lol
