I just Loooove it!

on my wonderings round the carboot on sunday i found this! i am always looking for quirty little things to go in my craft room, i just love this and thought it would fit in so well!

Carboot find

we went off for our usual sunday carboot wonder this morning, we always come back with something, usual something baby related but today i found this little lot, the lady said 75p when i asked her the price of one of the little lace pieces on card at the bottom of the pic, so i them asked her how much for the whole lot £5 said she, oh yes please said i!, some are stained which has not come out from washing but with over 70 pieces i am a happy bunny, now what am i going to do with them all?

Latest Mail art

this is my latest mail art and it made its way to US and Eva, it arrived safe and sound to my great relief.

and this is what i received back from Robin, little bit disapointed that her post office would'nt let her post it and it arrived in an envelope but it is gorgeous all the same, thank you robin.

WIP--week 2

of bramble and the rose..........
actualy realy enjoying this stitch and i think i am getting on quite well, nearly finished a second page.

WIP

I have lost my mojo a bit lately for anything crafty but i am hoping it is on its way back, i am working on this design "the brambles and the rose" from ink circles, on a piece of hand dyed evenweave, sorry the colours are not the best in the pic, bad light! realy enjoying my stitch so far, a long way to go mind you so i will post my progress along the way, we are working it as a SAL (stitch a long) with some girls from a crafty natter forum.

i'm sad!

i'm sad at the minute beacause on friday my baby Mizzy was run over and killed while i was at work, luckily DH was at home but she was gone, i am gutted, she was my baby and i could'nt let it pass without a mention of her, she was 15 and i miss her!

We went to the seaside!

Got to have my yearly sand between the toes and my feet in the sea and seen as we won't be getting a holiday this year we went to mablethorpe yesterday, the weather was gorgeous!
of course we took Jake along for his first ever visit to the seaside......


his first ever touch of the sand...he wanted to get in there!


he just loved the sand, now you don't get any smiley face shots with jake when he is doing something becasue he is so into what he is doing there is no getting in lol


and of course you get the I'm going to eat it shots lol, a face full of sand what better lol


oh my goodness and there was water too, jakes favourite thing lol


he had so much fun splashing in the water, he just wanted to sit in it all the time


good job we had a change of clothes he got soaked lol
but overall i think he likes the beach lol

A finish

At last,a finish, hav'nt had much of a mojo going on lately with one thing and another but here is my alphabet exchange for exchange heaven
this was for michelle and thanks to michelle for the pic as i forgot to take one before i sent it off lol, its a LHN design which i love all their designs, just love stitching them!



right lets see if i can get my mojo going again with something else.

6 Months old today

Time has flown and jake is 6 months old today, he is growing so fast and is so precious,
here he is in his new paddling/ball pool, he loved it as you can see....

Race for Life Total

To Everyone for all the sponsorship for my race for life on sunday, it was a gorgeous day, maybe a little too hot lol
i did it for Joan a lovely lady and my friend Lyn's mum, oh and of course everyone that will ever need help, it was very touching reading everyones posters, bought me to tears a few times

He's growing fast

We have been very busy this past week with moving, firstly it was Niall and Lewis along with their friend Percy moving from a very small terraced house into a four bedroomed place with HUGE garden there they have been joined by David, so most of the week was taken up with sorting them out, then it was Amee and jakes turn, they have moved from a small two bedroom upstairs flat to a two bedroomed house with gorgeous gardens, so after all of that apart from being shattered i have told them no one is allowed to move for a little while yet lol, after we had sorted amee out we had a bit of a relax and play in the sunshine in Amees garden, thought i would just show you our little man he is growing so fast and is so precious................

Button Bottle set

Now that we have our little jake i am starting to get a lot of little bottles hanging around lol, these are his juice bottles, i already made the two little button and ribbon jars for the raffle table at the weekend crafty get together so i have taken it a little further and made a container for them, it holds four bottles so you can use them for whatever you like, i realy enjoyed making this.

Jackies quilt!

here it is, i gave jackie her quilt while at the scrapajack retreat, i think she loved it lol, well she showed everyone that came in the room her quilt and threatened them every time they went near it lol so i am taking that as she liked it!

this has restored my faith in it, i made another quilt recently and am just not happy with it, it has been put in the bottom of the wardrobe to be brought out and pondered over another time but making jackies with it being so bright and cheary has restored my faith in my quilting! i realy enjoyed making it and hope jackie enjoys using it!




and here is a matching cushion, cause i can't count blocks and did'nt want to leave it out!

Back from Retreat

Did you miss me?
well i had a fantastic time at the scrapajack retreat with jak and deb and the rest of the gang (too many to mention) the sun shone all the time, we arrived on wednesday at 3pm, checked into the Swansnest Hotel in Stratford upon Avon and then went off into town for a wonder before others started to arrive, there was about 8 people stopping over on the wednesday, stephen and cara stayed over on wednesday too they went home thursday afternoon, we had a gorgeous room, the hotel has just been refurbished and is even better than last year, and their service is just brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, i could'nt fault them! the food was fantastic and too much, we did nothing but eat lol

i did 4 classes while i was there, i have a kit from another class to do, i was too tired by saturday to attend the class so will do that soon

firstly there was the Eyes wide open class from Maria, goegeous kit and class, loved it.



then there was the monster mini book from Claire, i absolutely love this little mini book, and was working on it well into the small hours of friday morning to get it finished, it has envelopes for pages and in each envelope is a pull out so lots of space for piccies.














then we had the sunshine class from Anna, not quite finished this one, need to add my title, which i can't decide on yet.



then there is another class from Maria, its the friends class, another gorgeous kit, i did'nt do this one in the class but on my own when i had lost my mojo for a short time, this got me going again.



there is another mini book to do which i will get to soon.

i also managed a page in my Jake album, i am doing a page for each 21st of the month for his first year, 21st being the date he was born, trying to keep it all upto date....lets see if i can manage it!



so thats another retreat over, feel quite sad realy but on the count down for next May!!
