Waiting For Spring- Mixed Media Canvas

Having Fun playing with colour, paste and MDF

not only on the canvas but on my hands too.

with mdf bees and honeycomb, air dried clay flowers and leaves, a mixture of metal and acrylic flowers and gems.

mixed media inks, paint, paste, glass glitter, art stones, clay and molds all available from

paste mixed with glass glitter and art stones stenciled onto the base canvas with a leaf stencil  and when dry i added my bees, honeycomb, leaves and flowers using gel medium as my glue, i then added some art stones to ad more texture, on my bees and flowers,
when all was stuck i painted with an imagination crafts starlight paint.

i then added my mixed media inks, using water to move the colours around until i was happy with the results.
dried with my heat gun and lastly i added some gold wax to bring out the texture.....and add more colour to my fingers, no brushes for me lol

Hope is never Lost- Mixed Media Box

Mixed Media MDF box,
i love boxes and tins and i love making texture and playing with colour, this one ended up quite dark but i just love it.

using stencils and heavy paste on the background and then glass glitter added to paste to form more texture.

i used mdf flowers and leaves on the front and wings on the top with acrylic face , lots of ink with spray water and moving the colours around,
in fact i had a purple leg for a few days after knocking over a full bottle of berrylicious ink while working on this project.

Zipped Bags- Down the Allotment.

Down the Allotment

after a crafty break, not of my choice lol i'm back at it and loving it.

A range of zipped bags, designed for a workshop in a couple of weeks, little bags are always useful, i have loads and always need more.

fitting zips is always a bit daunting so this workshop is a "how to" on zips.
a little free motion quilting too.
