DecoratedBox- Diva

Decorated Box - Diva

first of my new DT kit projects for Thompsoons craft supplies
This paper and the colours are just gorgeous, so rich, i just love them.

for this project i used....

13arts color glow - tanzanite
dina wakely acrylic paints - heather
                                             fuschia
AB studio papers - Diva- real diva
Ab studio stencil ID 94

from my stash i also used some heavy body paste, a couple of small stamps to add some more interest

i started off by painting my box with the heather paint and then sprinkling on some of the 13 arts color glow and spritzing with water to activate, i dried with my heat gun then dry brushed randomly with the fuschia paint.

i did a little random stamping in a grey ink over the box.

i then did some fussy cutting from the real diva sheet and  added them to my box using 3d gel as my glue
some more stamping on top with the grey, it doesn't matter what the stamps are, mine were a small spot and a  sort of trellis style one.

i then coloured my heavy body paste with a tiny dot of the fuschia paint and stencilled in places in between and just overlapping the paper flowers.

i dried with my heat gun and then sprinkled some of the color glow in places , just a few small areas, spritzed with water, moved it around a little and then dried.

lastly i rubbed over some of the wax just picking up some of the raised areas of the paste.

We Are Fearless-Scrapbook Layout

We Are Fearless- scrapbook layout.

i am really drawn to the autumn colours, my go to safe place to crafting and flowers, always got a flower somewhere or other.

my last project from my june DT kit from Thompsons craft supplies

for this project i used....
creative embellishments MDF leaf circle
flower set, whoops forgotten which maker!

from my stash i also used some gesso, an old text stamp, some watercolour paint.
i found and old box and ripped a nice sized square to add to my back ground.

firstly i clear gesso'd my 12x12 base sheet and then stamped some text randomly over, i then sponged on some gesso  and when that was dry i dded some watercolour paint in pools to distress it some more and finished the background with some splattering.

i mounted my photo onto some white card .
i layered up my base sheet with the cardboard, then the leaf circle, my photo and the mdf leaf stem.
i then added my flowers , fussy cut a couple of butterflies from my paper pack.
i then mounted my title onto some card to give them a bit more strength and then added to finish.

floral fancy journal

Floral Fancy Journal
kit available from Thompsons craft supplies
Floral fancy journal kit

lots of goodies in this kit to make this gorgeous journal

i covered my MDF with the hessian, all over joining the 2 pieces together but leaving a gap between them big enough to house the pages. i made some folded pages and then stitched them to the hessian spine. you can gradually fill the pages with your treasures and the little bits you love too much to throw away, adding more over time.
i stencilled some heavy paste onto the hessian and then decorated my cover with my fabrics, lace and ephemera from the kit,

A Great Adventure- Journal Layout.

A Great Adventure, journal layout

i always seam to do double layouts in my journals, i cant seam to get my head around having two different things on opposite pages lol but i'm not bothered i love working the doubles.

using some of my  June DT kit from Thompsons Craft supplies

i also used some cardboard from a box, some hand made stamps, some stamped and aged circles , some washi tape and some gesso.

i cut  out some of the paper to fit the right hand side of my double layout and then tore round the edges,
with what  was left , 2 pieces from the side and bottom, i tore round them and turned them sideways and glued to the other page,  so both of my pages were covered i then added some washi tape and the torn off pieces from my main sheet to add the next layer.

i then scraped some white gesso over the pages to soften it down.
when it was dry i then added the Ocean paint using my finger, just here and there.
i chose my dragonfly and butterfly and sponged with the ocean paint.

i splattered with some black watercolour paint

i then layered up my card, stamps, butterfly tracing paper, distressed circle and butterfly/dragonfly, working both sides at the same time.

lastly i found my title , mounted onto some card then added them to my layout and using a journalling pen i framed the title and both the pages but not down the centre.

Altered Tin

Use your wings altered tin
i love boxes an tins, i decorate lots of them and eventually find something to use them for,
if not they still look pretty lol

stencil-postcard

from my stash i also used another stencil, a text stamp, and some paper flowers.

firstly i stippled over my tin lid with some gesso, i did it quite thickly as it had some embossing in the centre and i needed to cover it,
i then went over with some white paint,
i took sections of my rice paper and glued them on using gel medium,
when that was dry i went over with the text stamp and randomly put in just tiny bits of the text,
i then added some stencilling with my two different stencils and heavy paste,
when it was all dry i stippled over with some clear gesso, then my wax
lastly i added my title, flower and leaf.

luckily my tin base was pink so i left this along as it matched very well.

Create Art
mixed media clipboard

for this project i used....

i also used some heavy paste, a roman numeral stencil, some vintage music paper, my chipboard title from craft box and my other chipboard from scrapiniec. a fabric flower, my frame is the waste from another piece of mdf

firstly i gosso'd my clipboard and some rust paste on the clip but then i changes my mind and went over with the gesso again, i then took some of the designs from my dress my craft rice paper, using a wet paint brush to seperate the designs, doing this allows the fibres to seperate and then you just pull it apart it gives a lovely frayed edge to the paper.

i then placed it onto my clipboard, leaving gaps where i then added some stenciling, firstly with the bonjour stencil and a dark pink paste and then with the roman numeral stencil and  grey paste.

 i gesso'd my frame,
covered some tags with the music paper and some more of the rice paper, i then distressed the tags using some ink and stamps.
nearly forgot i also added an mdf feather gesso's and a small piece of the rice paper, then inked to distress.
i layered my tags feather and my chipboards, added title.

made a bow with some hand dyed fabric strips and ribbon for the top.

i inked round the edged with some dark pink and then some black , waxed with some silver wax, and then finished with some grey splatters.
