Autumn fun Scrapbook Layout

Autumn is on its way...
i love everything about it, the cooler days, although i love the summer i don't enjoy the heat, t shirt weather lovely but real heat no thanks!!
i love the colours of the trees turning, it does make me a bit sad but the colours are beautiful, we have long crafty evenings to look forward to, they seem longer in the winter!

we had a mini photo shoot last autumn and i have so many photos to scrap before we do it all again this year lol

using the Autumn Sunset papers from Thompsonscraftsupplies plus ephemera  and a couple of other bits added from my stash.

i stamped the base cardstock with a leaf stamp  from ABstudio and heat embossed it, makes a lovely addition the the background.

i tore some of my papers and distressed some others and layered them up with some of the ephemera plus some leaves , butterflies and some lose weave hessian.

i added my photo and tucked it behind some of the ephemera. added a couple of flowers, well you have to!!
i then added my title.

i love this style of page, love the layers, colours, flowers, my happy crafty style.

Embrace Beautiful Chaos with Kasia!!

So on Saturday i spend another lovely relaxing and creative day with Kasia.

2 projects completed a beautiful box, meant to be a wine box but i don't drink wine and i'm not giving it as a present lol so i will be using it as a storage box, and a lovely decorative free standing plaque.
i thoroughly enjoyed making both, love the processes and the faffing.
had a wonderful day with fab company, roll on the next one.

The Raven by Blackbird designs.

well i am now making this fabulous quilt.

Been wanting to for a little while and finally bought the book at the FOQ and managed to buy pretty much all the fabrics, well my choices of fabric as they didn't do it as a kit so i had to find my own and did pretty well finding suitable and then adding from my stash,
i didn't realize how big each block was until i started , it says cut each at 20.5" i cut at 22" to be safe and so glad i did as not sure it would have all fitted on, so its going to be a nice big size.

scroll down to the bottom to see the original.

i decided it would be best to do a quilt as you go, as i would not have enjoyed quilting the whole of this when all together !! wow that would be a job and a half, going to be tricky doing the joins let alone all of it when together!!

i am loving it, hand appliqued and then machine quilted.

block 1 all finished and quilted.

block 2 sewn on and layered, waiting to be quilted.

block 3 all pinned and half sewn.

A Beautiful Autumn Hanger

Autumn is coming and the colours are changing,
i just love the colours of autumn, sad to see the summer end but looking forward to long crafty evenings, the evenings always seem longer in the winter and dark nights !!

Using the Autumn Sunset range from Thompsonscraftsupplies and an old hanger, re fashioned to something nice lol

i gessod my hanger and then using a heavy body paste and a leaf stencil i made my background texture, when it was dry i added some wax and bronze paint using my fingers rather than a paint brush.
i then arranged my aphemera from the pack, added some leaves and some flowers ( i must have flowers lol) oh and some cheese cloth!!

the colours are just gorgeous and i love the pumpkins and the Hare poking out of his hiding place!

i covered my main piece and then splattered with some watered down bronze paint.

Love Autumn Log Slice.

Although clinging onto the thought that we may have a little summer left to enjoy, especially as we will be away for a weekend camping in a couple of weeks i also love autumn, the evenings drawing in and long evenings of crafting.
the colours of autumn are my most favorite, although i love all colours!!

i really enjoyed making this log slice from .thompsons craft supplies along with pretty much all of the othere elements, the metal leaves and papers, inks, stencil used on my back ground, can you tell i am a fan of Louise.

i firstly painted my log with clear gesso so that it would take anything else i chucked at it with ease, when it was dry i added some thick paste through a lovely leaf stencil and allowed it to dry, may have given it a little help lol !!

i then added some colour, mixed media inks in red, orange yellow and green, a spritz of water to get them all moving  around and then dried it off.

i coloured and added some mdf, the honeycomb, and some leaves, the twigs (from an old vase full i was chucking away) all stuck down with 3d gel.
i added some cheesecloth.
cut out the photo of my grandson Oscar and mounted him using some extra packing on the back, he is quite high off the log,it is all very 3D
i also added my fussy cut pumpkins and title.
poked a few more embellishments here and there, the metal and paper leaves.

then i covered oscar so as not to get a splodge on the end of his nose and splattered with a bronze watered down paint.

i just love this!!!
